We visited the yellow deer because of the many positive reviews, but we were very disappointed in the end. It has little to do with Austria (I think, as an exile, I can take the liberty of making this comment) Vlt. The food would have been manageable with better service, but let's start from the beginning what exactly happened. Everything went great until the order came: Almdudler was unfortunately sold out, that can happen. I was offered a German cellar beer as an alternative (for whatever reason). I opted for a coke (I think around € 2.5 for 0.2L) and joined the woman over a glass of white wine spritzer. (Unfortunately there were no wines from home, only the usual suspects) The cola never came and the spritzer was just a "vinegar" wine with still water. Our complaint where the other drink is and that the spritzer is not carbonated was not dealt with. Since we were very hungry, we ordered three different dishes. Frankfurter Schnitzel, a large Viennese and a fried chicken salad. We received a schnitzel with an adventurous, but definitely not a green sauce (it was almost completely white, it definitely contained lots of pieces of eggs) and a small Wienerschnitzel. The salad wasn't ready. After my complaint, my small schnitzel was supplemented with a second small schnitzel without much complaint, so that it is now a big one. The fact that when the plate was put back on my table, the first schnitzel was now totally limp and cold, really didn't matter to me with the now existing hunger. In the meantime, my wife had turned her Frankfurter Schnitzel into a normal pork Viennese by keeping the green sauce far away. The absolute highlight, however, was the fried chicken salad. My expectation was a great salad with a few potato slices, a lot of pumpkin seed oil and what else, of course, fried chicken. What we got was a salad like the typical pizza delivery man (I estimate the amount of seed oil on a teaspoon). It was a simple lettuce salad with fried chicken breast (yes, exactly fried; no breading, nothing ...) and joguhr dressing for ~ 16 €. We didn't really want to accept the salad like that and spoke to the waitress, who offered us a direct conversation with the landlady who was in the kitchen. I gladly accepted. But was disappointed again in no time when the waitress came back with the following statement: I should tell you that this is a fried chicken salad (I uploaded a picture, everyone should make up for themselves). Unfortunately all together an experience that we don't want to repeat, it's a shame for the money.

The service was very nice and tried hard to meet all guests. The food was tasty but nothing special.

We sat outside comfortably and were served very nice. The food was great, in addition, was just Oktoberfest week and they had beer there. Spaetzle and Kaspressknödel were very delicious and the cream we had not eaten so yet. Come back very happy!

Very nice welcome and for my wife the vegetarian is was quickly put together which was delicious. Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes were as it should be. Will visit the place again and recommend.

A dead and cozy location. Friendly hosts, magical waiters and delicious food. Just last week had with the band there Christmas party and there was delicious goose. Oh my god ... breathtaking. To the point. In summer you can sit outside. The yellow deer I recommend gladly and with a good conscience Andreas on you!

For me a gem, with excellent food and drink with a focus on South Tyrolean cuisine delicious beer and otherwise a very lively restaurant, with passionate landlords. I love the atmosphere and the quality food and drinks .... The little pub in our street lives ...... Peter Alexander would love her.

Good Austrian restaurant. The tarte flambée, the cheese spätzle and the fried potatoes were great. We did not like the pork schnitzel that way. The service was very friendly and attentive. Since it's cold outside, it's pulled through the door. Come again!

Ambience and service are nice. Unfortunately, the quality of the food couldn't convince me ... Wiener Schnitzel tasted like fat and was very fibrous, and so were French fries ... a shame ...

We were there shortly after 5 p.m. and were the only guests at the beginning. The reception was friendly, open-minded and almost family-like, just so that you really feel welcome. This feeling ran through the entire visit. The food was totally delicious, the service quick and courteous and the price absolutely reasonable! The restaurant is actually almost around the corner, but we have never been there before ... That will change in the future. We make an absolute recommendation to everyone who likes to enjoy Austrian dishes and also a clear recommendation to all vegetarians, there is a relatively large selection for you 😊

You come in and feel good, even if it can be rather small and loud. Friendly, attentive owners. Food lasts but that's a sign of freshness - and you can taste it. Here you like to come here!
